Foreign Minister Mikser visits Georgia


On 24 April, Foreign Minister Sven Mikser paid an official visit to Tbilisi to meet with the leaders of Georgia and discuss the integration of Georgia into the EU and NATO, the upcoming Estonian Presidency of the EU Council, and developments in the neighbourhood of Georgia and in Europe.

Foreign Minister Mikser met with the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze and the Chairman of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze.

They also discussed the Eastern Partnership, Estonia-Georgia relations, cooperation in international organisations and the situation in occupied territories.

Foreign Minister Mikser visited the administrative boundary line of Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia in the village of Khurvaleti and he will lay a wreath at the Memorial of Heroes in Tbilisi.
